I want to talk to you a little bit about the first step of exterminator Fort Worth that’s often overlooked. Anywhere there’s a material change from a door to brick or siding, or up top the soffit meets the siding of the brick – anywhere those two materials touch to potentially leave a crack, which would allow insects entry even down on the ground you need to watch closely.

This is a good example of a builder who went to great lengths to prohibit pest entry. If you’ll notice between the brick and the doorframe, I’ve got some clear there, which looks really good all the way around. Also, where the utilities come out, they use some great materials and methods to really make sure there are no gaps that are allowing even large rodents in some cases. Even where they had electrical conduit, it goes up to the soffit. I don’t know if you can see it there, but they put a good clear silicone caulk or 100% of silicone there to prohibit anything from going in there a lot of times. If these areas aren’t addressed, you’ll get all kinds of pests coming in a worst case scenario bees a lot of times. I’ll see bees making hives in walls because they got in through a little crack up there that was not addressed.
